Programme Overview
In an era where VRINE resources are critical to success, it goes without saying that the talent strategy has become a crucial component of corporate strategy and risk management, that Boards can no longer neglect if they want to succeed in their responsibilities. A recent survey by Heidrick and Struggles on Board & CEO Competences on Talent Management revealed a very strong need for greater board awareness and oversight of talent strategy as a global imperative. The survey expresses the emphatic need for boards of directors to be confident that the company is promoting, recruiting, and retaining competent talent especially at leadership and critical role levels, and that they are taking a more active role in understanding and closing the talent and capability gaps at all times. Our 2-day Board Orientation of Talent Management Course is aimed at helping boards give visibility and genuine attention to talent management issues as critical drivers of competitiveness and sustainability. The course equips boards with the skills to ask the right questions to CEOs and line executives regarding the corporate talent strategy. The programme also discusses how to measure progress across key talent management indicators, the role of regular high-level reviews, definition of corporate health from a talent perspective, the best talent assessment frameworks, and how to uncover talent risks and weaknesses before they affect company performance, amongst several other board level talent matters.
